School Roofing Project

Ogbarimbga School currently has 256 registered pupils across nursery and primary levels.

At the time of our inquiry, this institution lacked basic amenities required of a school, such as desks. Children were receiving classes while sitting on concrete floors or makeshift benches.

In addition, we observed severe damage to the roofs of two of the buildings used to host classrooms. As a result, heavy rain leaked in through the damaged areas of the roofs which resulted in damage to the library bookshelves, books and makeshift benches. You can actually see the cracks in the walls resulting from rain water streaming across the building walls (see pictures below).

We set out to raise a Go Fund Me which enabled us to address the renovation of the roofs. We have received overwhelming support towards this cause, as we have exceeded over 70% of our projected target.

Renovations are currently ongoing and we hope to have this completed during the week of April 11th.

We will post an update once this project is completed.
